The Chrome extension is the capture engine — it's what automatically saves everything you copy: text, links, code, screenshots, and more. You need it installed on at least one computer to capture content. However, once your content is synced to the cloud (with a paid plan), you can view, search, and browse your feed from any device — including mobile — without the extension. You can also press Alt+Q to instantly open the Side Panel — a compact, mobile-like view of your saved content right inside your browser. Think of the extension as the input, and the web app as the output you can access anywhere.

Yes! By default, all your content is stored locally on your device in IndexedDB. Nothing leaves your computer unless you explicitly enable cloud sync. We never sell or share your data. Sensitive content (like passwords or API keys) is automatically detected and never sent to cloud AI services.

KopyFeed uses algorithmic categorization locally (<10ms, 18 categories, 40+ tags) — free and offline. On top of that, 6 cloud AI capabilities: summaries, image understanding, content analysis for links and YouTube videos, natural language feed filters, an AI feed agent that suggests optimizations, and automated daily digests. Cloud AI requires a paid subscription (Advanced or Pro) and uses your monthly quotas.

Advanced tier gets Transcript Analysis (300/mo) — AI reads the video's captions to extract chapters, summaries, key quotes, and topics. Pro tier gets Full Video Analysis (600 minutes/mo) — the AI actually watches the video, providing everything in transcript analysis plus sentiment tracking, visual complexity scoring, conversation dynamics, and highlight detection. Minutes are deducted based on actual video length, so short clips use less quota than long podcasts. When Pro users exhaust their video minutes, they automatically fall back to unlimited transcript analysis.

KopyFeed currently supports Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera). Firefox and Safari support is planned for future releases. The web app works in any modern browser.

KopyFeed automatically detects sensitive content like API keys, passwords, credit card numbers, and SSNs. These items are marked with a lock icon, auto-expire after 10 minutes by default, and are never sent to cloud AI services.
