Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "User") and KopyFeed.com ("KopyFeed," "we," "our," or "us") governing your use of the KopyFeed browser extension, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By installing the KopyFeed browser extension, accessing the web application, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Union) to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Service Description

KopyFeed is a clipboard management platform consisting of:

• A browser extension for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera) that automatically captures clipboard content
• A web application that provides a rich, multi-feed dashboard for organizing and interacting with your captured content
• AI-powered features including content categorization, summarization, image description, conversational AI (Kopy), and intelligent feed suggestions

The Service operates on a local-first architecture. Core functionality works entirely on your device without requiring an internet connection or an account. Cloud features are available as optional enhancements for paid subscribers.

Accounts & Registration

Free tier: No account is required. You can use the browser extension and local features without registering.

Paid tiers: An account is required, created through our authentication provider (Clerk) using Google OAuth or email/password. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use
• Maintain only one account per person

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your credentials.

Pricing & Subscriptions

KopyFeed offers three service tiers:

Annual pricing is available at approximately 30% discount.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method at the applicable rate.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the account management portal. Upon cancellation:

• You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
• Your account reverts to the free tier after the billing period ends
• Cloud data is retained per your configured retention settings
• Local data is unaffected

Refunds

Refund requests are handled through Stripe's dispute process. We aim to resolve billing disputes fairly and promptly. Contact us at support@kopyfeed.com for any billing concerns.

Price Changes

We may change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period following the notice period. AI feature quotas reset on the 1st of each calendar month.

Free Tier

The free tier is available indefinitely without an account. It includes:

• Unlimited local clipboard capture and storage
• Algorithmic AI categorization (runs locally, no cloud dependency)
• Multi-feed management and organization
• Side panel interface
• Full offline support

The free tier does not include cloud AI features, cloud storage, data sync, or any features that require server-side processing. We reserve the right to modify free-tier features with reasonable notice.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to store, transmit, or process content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to circumvent AI usage quotas, rate limits, or other service restrictions through automated means or abuse
• Use AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or illegal content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data, accounts, or our infrastructure
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
• Use the Service for any purpose that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without written permission

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions, with notice where practical.

Intellectual Property

Our property: The KopyFeed software, brand, user interface design, documentation, and related materials are the intellectual property of KopyFeed.com. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Open-source components: KopyFeed incorporates open-source software components, each licensed under their respective open-source licenses. These Terms do not restrict your rights under those licenses.

Your content: You retain full ownership of all content you capture, create, or store using KopyFeed. We claim no intellectual property rights over your clipboard content, comments, notes, or any other user-generated content.

User Content

You are solely responsible for the content you capture, store, and process through the Service. By using the Service, you grant KopyFeed a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely as necessary to provide the Service — this includes storing data in our cloud database, syncing between devices, and processing content through AI services when you request it.

This license is:

• Restricted to providing the Service to you
• Revocable — terminates when you delete your content or account
• Non-transferable — we do not share your content with other users

We do not proactively monitor or review user content. However, we reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts if we become aware of violations of these Terms or applicable law.

AI-Generated Content

KopyFeed uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, categories, tags, image descriptions, feed suggestions, and conversational responses (Kopy AI). Regarding AI-generated content:

• AI outputs are provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or reliability
• AI may produce incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate results
• AI outputs do not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or any other form of expert advice
• You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating any AI-generated content before relying on it
• We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or reliable
• The browser extension will remain compatible with all future versions of Chrome or Chromium-based browsers
• Third-party services (Clerk, Convex, Stripe, Google Gemini) will maintain uninterrupted availability
• Any defects in the Service will be corrected

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In such cases, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KOPYFEED.COM BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) EUR 100 OR (B) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Without limiting the above, we are not liable for:

• Data loss — you are responsible for maintaining backups of your local data. Cloud data is provided as a convenience backup, not a guaranteed data preservation service.
• Third-party failures — outages or changes by Clerk, Convex, Stripe, Google, or other third-party providers
• Browser API changes — modifications to Chrome or Chromium extension APIs that affect functionality

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability. In such cases, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KopyFeed.com and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service
• Content you capture, store, or process through the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Your infringement of any third-party rights

Termination

By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account through the account settings, which will cancel any active subscription and initiate deletion of your cloud data. Your local data (stored in IndexedDB) remains on your device and is not affected by account deletion.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to other users or our infrastructure. Where practical, we will provide notice before termination.

Effect of Termination

• Paid subscriptions: canceled, with access until end of billing period
• Cloud data: deleted according to your retention settings, or upon request
• Local data: unaffected — remains on your device under your control
• The following sections survive termination: Intellectual Property, User Content (license termination), Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Dispute Resolution, and General Provisions

Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at support@kopyfeed.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Jurisdiction

Disputes that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise. European Union residents may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Class Action Waiver

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Modifications to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to registered users and/or a prominent notice within the Service. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of modified Terms constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with the modified Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.

General Provisions

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and KopyFeed.com regarding the Service.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
